10 Productivity Hacks That You'll Want To Implement Today

It's no secret that we are all looking for ways to be more productive, especially with COVID-19 having many families restricted to the house.

I've compiled this list of 10 productivity hacks that you can implement to do to help you take your productivity to the next level.

1. Start your day with a to-do list

I know, I know - I preach about the sacred to-do list pretty frequently, especially if you follow us on IG but there really is power in the to-do list, especially during chaotic times. Starting your day with a to-do list really helps you focus and better manage time because you're constantly glancing down at and crossing things off of your to-do list.

2. Time block

Blocking out "windows" or "blocks" of time on your calendar is another way of organizing your day. Common blocks on my calendar include team collab, client work, and IG engagement... I even add "ME TIME" to my calendar so that I know on Saturday, from 9 am to 12 noon, I am doing something for ME. Who doesn't need a little me time, right?

3. Turn your phone notifications off

Turning off the notifications on your phone really help eliminate or at least minimize some of the distractions. A few less Facebook and IG notifications can really make BIG difference.

4. Check your email once or twice a day

Email can be a huge distraction for me. It takes me away from the current tasks because "it only takes a second" to just respond to the few emails in your inbox. The problem with that mindset is that those few seconds turn into minutes and then it turns into me working on completely different tasks and leaving the one that is actually on my to-do list unfinished. My current strategy is to check my email in the morning before starting my day and again around noon. If there's anything urgent, I address it. If it can be delegated, I delegate it via Slack. If it can be addressed tomorrow or at any point later in the week - I add it to my to-do list for later in the week.

5. Close browser tabs

I recommend that you only leave the browser tabs open that you need to do the task that you are currently working on. Everything else - especially social media and email tabs - can be closed. Why? They're just a big distraction. Who knew that watching one 2 minute video can turn into 30 minutes of surfing and scrolling on social media? I know that I am not the only one guilty of this! haha

6. Batch tasks

Turning off the notifications on your phone really help eliminate or at least minimize some of the distractions. A few less Facebook and IG notifications can really make a BIG difference. t, don't just do content for that day or week. Try to batch out a month of social media content.

7. Start with a clean work space

7. Start with a clean workspace might seem minute but it's really a mindset hack. Seeing and working in an open and clean space will help you focus. Don't believe me? Test it out. Try working in a completely cluttered workspace and then try working in a very clean wide-open workspace. Watch how much more you get done in the clean open space.

8. Eat clean!

Have you ever noticed that when you're eating healthy you feel a little more on it? When you're eating junk food all day, you're what? Lazy, tired and just over it? Yep! What you eat really does impact how you feel and how you produce so eat clean.

9. Listen to inspiration

Do you know the saying, garbage in, garbage out? Well, it's particularly true when it comes to your mind. Create an environment of inspiration and positivity. You'll be surprised how things begin to flow.

10. Take a break

Stepping away and taking a break is great for your mind, body, and productivity. It's amazing what a little stroll around the block can do.

So there you have it, 10 productivity hacks that will help take your productivity to the next level. If you've implemented one of these or have others that you've tried and that you love, let us know. I'd love to hear it.
